Syria-China Trade


The trade balance between Syria and China has long been characterized by a significant trade deficit, with Syrian imports from China far exceeding its exports. To create a more balanced and mutually beneficial trade relationship, the Syrian-Chinese Business Services Center (SCBSC) is committed to opening new markets for Syrian products within China. Through strategic initiatives, SCBSC aims to strengthen trade by improving current exports, identifying new opportunities for locally consumed Syrian products, and encouraging the development of new products tailored to the demands of the Chinese market.
Syria-China Trade Value
Based on United Nations COMTRADE data, the total trade value between China and Syria in 2023 reached approximately $357.5 million. China’s exports to Syria accounted for $356 million, while Syria’s exports to China were significantly lower at $1.51 million. This marks a substantial decline compared to the trade value recorded at the end of 2010, when the total trade reached $1,626.4 million. At that time, China’s exports to Syria stood at $1,545 million, while Syria’s exports to China were $81.40 million.
